Leading Christian children’s charity seeks Press & PR specialist to help change the lives of children living in poverty.
Press & PR Specialist
Permanent office-based role,
35 hours per week Monday - Friday 9:00 - 17:00
Office Based in Fleet, Hampshire
Salary: £24,500 + excellent benefits
Our client acts as an advocate for children. From the womb to early adulthood, they give children born into the toughest of circumstances the opportunities they deserve. Over 1.8 million children are currently participating in the charity's programmes in 25 of the poorest countries in the world.
They are looking for an individual who has paid experience in journalism or PR, strong communication skills across all media including copywriting and press releases and able to manage good working relationships with the media.
The successful candidate will also need to have an active Christian faith and a deep sense of personal connection to the charity’s ministry to children in poverty. They’ll be a team player with excellent interpersonal skills, self-motivated, creative, innovative and flexible.
The Press and PR Specialist will support the National Media Manager in increasing awareness and engagement with the charity through these channels:
- To secure our client's share of voice in the marketplace, thereby, enhancing its presence, awareness and equity;
- Leverage and build strong relationships with the media (print, radio, PR etc.);
- Ensure that the charity’s brand and message is communicated consistently throughout.
- Promote and maintain the charity’s Christian Ethos and Values;
- To support the successful implementation of their Media and PR strategy;
- Support the National Media Manager.
