An accountancy practice in Petersfield is looking for a Practice Bookkeeper to assist with the preparation of client accounts to trial balance.

A practice or freelance bookkeeping background and a keen eye for detail are essential as you must be able to put together an accounts file accurately and with minimal supervision.

This is a temporary assignment and is expected to last for 2-3 months.

The role is full time, working 37.5 hours per week. However, part time candidates with relevant experience will also be considered.

£14 per hour PAYE / £18 per hour Limited Company or Umbrella.

The Company

A friendly high street practice offering a tailored and personal accounting service to sole traders and small businesses.

The Role

Preparing accounts for sole traders and limited companies by collating accounts files, resolving client queries, posting trial balance and journals. This is a support role rather than client facing, as the latter is handled by the account seniors, who will also be reviewing your work.

Minimum Requirements

- Experience of preparing client accounts to trial balance in an accountancy practice or as a freelance bookkeeper
- Intermediate/advanced Excel skills
- Proficient in the use of Sage
- Knowledge of Xero and IRIS (desirable)
