Vertu Motors plc. was formed in late 2006 and are now the UK's 5th largest motor retailers with over 127 dealerships across the length and breadth of the UK from Dunfermline to Exeter. Our business has grown dramatically over the years and we now represent 25 brands including Bristol Street Motors, Macklin Motors and Vertu Honda We are seeking a Public Relations Manager to nurture a strong industry network, increase awareness and develop an enviable corporate image by developing and executing effective communication and media relations programs. Within this role you will be responsible for the leadership, development, and implementation of strategic integrated public relations through traditional and digital platforms to build conversations and support the marketing strategies that drive business results. This role will collaborate with senior leadership to develop communications strategies that will broaden reach and deepen impact. Key channels of communication include online and off line.

About the Role

Key responsibilities will include: • Develop a marketing communications plan including strategy, goals, budget and tactics • Develop media relations strategy, seeking high-level placements in print, broadcast and online media • Coordinate all public relations activities • Leverage existing media relationships and cultivate new contacts within business and industry media • Manage media enquiries and interview requests • Create content for press releases, byline articles and keynote presentations • Monitor, analyze and communicate PR results on a monthly basis • Evaluate opportunities for partnerships, sponsorships and advertising on an on-going basis. • Build relationships with thought leaders to grow industry awareness • Maintain a keen understanding of industry trends affecting clients and make appropriate recommendations regarding communication strategy surrounding them This position also partners with HR to ensure alignment of messaging and effective internal communication programs.

About You

For this role we are looking for you to have public relations experience. We want you to have a proven track record designing and executing successful public relations campaigns at both a local and national level. Other key skills required are: • Excellent media contacts across several platforms with ability to act as company spokesperson • Experience in acting as a company spokesperson; comfortable and skilled in both broadcast and print media interviews • Exceptional writing and editing skills and Superior oral skills; articulate, speaks clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations, demonstrates solid group presentation skills and conducts productive meetings • Solid experience with social media including blogs, Facebook, Twitter, etc. • BA/MA degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications or a related discipline • Organized, decisive with sound and accurate judgment; time management • Expertise in digital PR media strategies • Excellent interpersonal skills; demonstrated capability to interface and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders in a team-oriented environment • Passionate about marketing excellence and committed to the values of the organization
