The PR Account Director will report directly into the board, and be responsible for a team of between 10-15 people. That will include line management responsibility for Senior Account Managers and Account Managers, across a handful of the agencies biggest accounts.
The role will be delivery focused, and an expectation attached for commercial growth from existing, and new clients. Fully integrated PR campaigns are what the agency pride themselves on, which promises to offer a genuinely varied role.
Clients will turn to the PR Account Director for strategic guidance and consultation, so whilst the role is heavily delivery orientated, there will be elements of strategy and planning sessions.
Development of people is a huge part of the role. The Account Director will have a mix of reports that all need different development points and a passion to offer that support is vital. From executives with little experience, to Senior Account Managers looking to take that next step, it's hugely important that is consistently offered.
The role will require the Account Director to be client facing a large percentage of the time. From taking a brief and offering guidance, delivering results and KPI's from previous campaigns, and even involved with pitching for new business. Being able to build relationships quickly is a must!
