Post Completions Assistant

Our client based in Hertford is recruiting an experienced Post Completions Assistant/ Legal Secretary to join their busy team. You will be carrying out duties as a Secretary, but would need the skills and knowledge to work as Post Completion Assistant.

The hours are Monday to Friday, 9am- 5.30pm and the salary is paying £18,000 - £22,000 depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities and Duties include:

  • Word processing / typing and collating correspondence and other documents, amending and formatting documents quickly and accurately
  • Day to day post completion administrative duties
  • Carry out pre completion searches
  • Liaise with mortgage lenders
  • Deal with online stamp duty and online land registry portals
  • Provide the highest level of customer service to clients and introducers at all times
  • Deal with clients on the telephone and by e-mail, taking messages accurately and passing to appropriate person(s)
  • Creating and amending legal documents
  • Monthly billing
  • Updating and maintaining contact data
  • Working as part of a team
  • Ensuring compliance with quality standards and the firm’s policies in general
  • Other support services as required

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Residential conveyancing experience
  • Familiar with Land Register, mortgage lenders, pre completion searches, online stamp duty and land registry portals
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Good IT skills including Microsoft Office
