Position: ASD Specialist - Witney
Start Date: Immediate - Full-Time
Location: Ideal for residents near Carterton, Eynsham, Burford, Woodstock, and Charlbury.

Are you dedicated to supporting children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)? Would you like to gain valuable experience working with students who have complex social and communication needs?

Academics LTD is collaborating with an exceptional SEN school in Reading that offers personalized support for children aged 5 to 18 with Autism and related learning challenges. The school is looking for an enthusiastic and compassionate ASD Specialist to join their committed team.

Key Requirements for the ASD Specialist Role:

  • Strong understanding of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and related conditions
  • Ability to assist children with various challenges, including communication difficulties, sensory processing disorders, and behavioral regulation
  • Experience in helping students develop social interaction and life skills
  • Genuine interest in Autism support or Special Educational Needs (SEN)
  • Patience, calmness, and adaptability to the diverse needs of children with ASD

This role is ideal for Psychology graduates, aspiring therapists, or individuals interested in pursuing a career in Mental Health or Special Education. If you want to enhance your experience in ASD support, this position is a great fit. Relevant qualifications, such as a degree or Level 3 qualifications in SEN or Autism support, are appreciated, but previous experience is not required.

Whether you aim to work in education, teaching, or mental health, the ASD Specialist role will help you develop essential skills by working directly with children facing communication, sensory, and behavioral challenges.

  • Location: Reading
  • Salary: £83 - £95 per day (based on experience, qualifications, and client rate)
  • Contract: Long-term temporary position with potential for permanent placement
  • Schedule: Full-Time, Monday to Friday, 8:30 am - 3:30 pm
  • Previous experience preferred but not required
