Our client is seeking a Portfolio Manager to join their Property Finance team. This role involves supporting the Business Development team in managing a portfolio of loans to property developers and investors, maintaining strong client relationships and ensuring all activity remains compliant with the bank’s credit and risk procedures. You’ll also contribute to business development efforts, helping to promote the brand and identify new opportunities.

Portfolio Manager Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct due diligence on new loans and ensure all lending conditions are met
  • Administer loan portfolios and process transactions accurately and on time
  • Maintain up-to-date customer records and liaise with internal teams
  • Prepare meeting notes, Credit Committee papers and follow up on actions
  • Draft facility, renewal, and amendment documents
  • Instruct and manage third-party advisers and review their reports
  • Assess project security and viability alongside your Line Manager
  • Monitor portfolio performance and maintain credit reviews
  • Handle initial client enquiries and deliver high-quality service
  • Attend site visits, industry events and build sector knowledge

Portfolio Manager Experience and Skills Requirements

  • Strong experience in client relationship management
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work under pressure
  • Professional communication skills and a collaborative mindset
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
