PMO Manager | Nottingham | £55 - £65k + bonus + benefits

Xpertise are working closely with a business in the Financial Services sector in Nottingham. As PMO manager you will be based within a newly formed transformation team. The PMO will ensure the most critical projects and programmes are prioritised, resourced and aligned to the business’ portfolio. The position will manage day to day support for the strategic programmes and the overall governance and assurance of the whole portfolio.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • Excellent relationship and stakeholder management across a variety of sectors.
  • A wide exposure to business change and portfolio management
  • Extensive experience as a PMO Leader or Enterprise PMO member within a corporate environment
  • Strong evidence of supporting strategic planning at departmental level
  • Experience setting and achieving targets and producing work of high quality to agreed deadlines and budgets
  • Strong drive for results
  • Excellent negotiator
  • High level if resilience
  • Self-motivated, can work as part of a team and independently
  • A passion for delivering value through People, Process and Technology

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with the Programme Directors, Director of Portfolio & Project Assurance, Solutions & Transformation, Executive Committees and the UKI Strategy Team to facilitate the Strategic Planning Process
  • Accountable for the overall health of >£10m pa project budget.
  • Manage the framework by which innovation, creative thinking and strategic direction can be converted into initiatives and business cases
  • Responsible for approved business cases are converted into approved projects and programmes; with on-going governance of funding, benefits and delivery
  • Identify the most appropriate programme and portfolio structures to manage the strategic initiatives and define the required Programme and Project Management support

Qualifications

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent
  • Formal Project or Programme Management qualifications desirable (Prince 2, MSP, PMP, PMQ)
  • Formal PMO qualification highly desirable (P3O)
