Role Overview

As a Plot Sales Conveyancer, you will play a key role in managing a caseload of plot sales transactions from reservation through to settlement. Working within the busy Conveyancing/Plot Sales team, you will handle all aspects of the process with minimal supervision, ensuring transactions are managed efficiently and clients receive an outstanding level of service.

This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified Conveyancer or experienced legal professional with solid plot sales experience to join a top-tier firm offering excellent career progression and development.


Key Responsibilities

Managing a caseload of plot sales transactions with minimal supervision.

Preparing plot sale documentation from reservation to settlement, including offers, draft contracts, and completion paperwork.

Negotiating missives and ensuring financial aspects are accurately processed, including completion statements.

Handling settlement procedures, billing, and accounts administration.

Reviewing and dealing with observations on title.

Managing registration processes, including Advance Notices and LBTT online.

Handling part exchange property purchases and re-sales, including examination of titles.

Producing client reports and attending client meetings when required.

Procuring conveyancing searches and liaising with clients, stakeholders, and third parties.

Managing correspondence, including incoming calls, post, and dictations.

Overseeing inception and closure of files, including reconciliation of account balances.

Effectively using the plots case management system, Microsoft Office, and BigHand dictation software.


Skills & Experience Required

CILEX qualification and/or significant experience of managing a conveyancing caseload within a law firm.

Prior experience in plot sales is highly desirable.

Strong IT skills with proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build lasting client and stakeholder relationships.

Strong organisational skills with the ability to plan, prioritise, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

A discreet and professional approach to handling highly confidential matters.

Ability to work independently without reliance on administrative support.

A proactive and collaborative team player with a willingness to mentor colleagues when required.

Commitment to self-development and participation in training and seminars, including outside of normal office hours if necessary.
