Plant Technician / Plant Mechanic / Plant Fitter 

Location: Oxford Area

Salary: £38,000 + Overtime

Contract: Full time

My client, a national heavy plant manufacturer, is looking for a workshop Plant Technician / Plant Mechanic / Plant Fitter working a day shift in their depot in the Long Crendon area.

The workshop Plant Technician / Plant Mechanic / Plant Fitter will be experienced in heavy plant maintenance, will have served an engineering apprenticeship and, ideally, have recent experience of the plant and crane industry - although full training will be given to applicants who can demonstrate the necessary skills and experience.

The main duties of the workshop Plant Technician / Plant Mechanic / Plant Fitter will comprise, but not be limited to:

After-sales service including installation, commissioning, repairs and maintenance of plant and cranes
Carrying out Pre-Delivery Inspections
Inspection of new and used plant and cranes and producing respective reports
Carrying out routine service on plant and cranes
Assisting in building up and maintaining meaningful machine records and backup documentation

The successful workshop Plant Technician / Plant Mechanic / Plant Fitter will have;

A recognised apprenticeship in a mechanical / electrical engineering based subject
An NVQ level 2 / 3 or equivalent
Relevant recent experience in a similar role within a commercial plant and crane environment
The client will offer the workshop plant fitter;
A competitive basic salary of £38,000
Overtime paid at an enhanced rate
33 days holiday allowance
