The purpose of this role is to manage the area shift teams and day based process support team. The role will drive excellence in the areas of compliance, standards, operational discipline, continuous improvement, EHS, process preparedness, competence and capability.
Perform all duties at all times in compliance with all corporate and EHS, business conduct policies, guidelines and the local site Life Saving Rules at all times. Complete all Corporate Compliance training.
Lead and manage a process team of 50+ multi-disciplined technicians to deliver the area EHS and production targets in line with the site improvement plan.
Establish and lead a Manufacturing Excellence/Operational Discipline improvement Programme to drive standards and compliance with plant systems and processes.
Establish and lead and standard way of working across all shifts to ensure right first time and consistency.
Motivate, coach and develop team members to ensure contribution by every team member to meet current and future business needs.
Educated to degree level in a relevant engineering discipline - chartered status or working towards. However consideration will be given to applicants with significant leadership experience within operations who do not hold a degree.
Proven track record of leading multi skilled teams in a fast paced dynamic industrial environment. Ideally shift team line management.
Ability to lead people and processes through significant periods of change.
Proven experience in delivering improvement programs and projects on time in full.
Zero Harm focused with detailed knowledge of COMAH regulations would be advantageous
An individual of high integrity, with a track record of delivering performance through teams taking an innovative approach to problem solving.
