Role ProfileROLE DEFINITION

To drive and be responsible for any allocated vehicle or item of plant within the Council's waste disposal and programmes and to assist in the operation of disposal and recycling programmes

KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Corporate Responsibilities

  • To undertake individual role in line with the Council’s business objectives and in compliance with the Council’s corporate policies and procedures.
  • To undertake any other reasonably required duties as instructed by Management or someone acting on their behalf, in addition to the role specific tasks & responsibilities detailed below.

Role Specific Tasks & Responsibilities

  • To drive and be responsible for any allocated vehicle or item of plant within the Council's waste recycling and disposal prgrammes and to assist in the operation of recycling and disposal programmes
  • Vehicle checks and routine maintenance of allocated vehicle or plant
  • The storage, disposal or recycling of collected waste
  • Assisting with operational duties where necessary
  • Completion of returns as necessary
  • If necessary, the supervision of a crew with responsibility for Operational Practices, crew health & safety and crew conduct
