Our purpose build factory in Leeds is aMedium Voltage Energy centre of excellence, combining a 17,000-square meterfactory and 40,000 square meters of office space. As well as supporting ourglobal offers we manufacture core products at this site which are used both forthe UK and export markets. Schneider Electric Leeds offers an unrivalled rangeof MV switchgear, transformers, packagedsubstations and Metalclad Distribution Substations, all from one manufacturer.The site has a headcount of c450 employees.
Due to internal promotion a fantastic opportunity has arisenfor a Plant Director to join our organisation to manage the Leeds site.
You will be responsible for the management of plant operationsand the front-end activities; ensuring the quality, service levels and the costfor all equipment manufactured in plant. We are looking for strong leadershipqualities to manage a team of 11 direct reports together with experience ofmanufacturing operations and general management. A commercially astute,strategic thinker, you will develop the plant as a global factory in line withthe Schneider Electric overall strategy.
The scope of the role involves the management of aBid/Quotations team, execution team of Project Engineers and ContractsEngineers, QHSE and Customer Satisfaction, manufacturing operations and a teamof Application Design Engineers responsible for the bespoke aspect of ourcustomer offering.
