We are currently recruiting a Planning Enforcement Project Manager to handle a wide range of planning enforcement investigations specifically drawn to our attention through the Private Rented Property Licensing Team.
The Council's Housing service is under increasing demand to provide good quality accommodation.
The recent introduction of the private rented licensing scheme means that every privately rented home in the Waltham Forest must apply for a private rented property license.
We need a Planning Enforcement Project Manager who is experienced in investigating breaches of planning legislation, who is motivated and enthusiastic to join our Planning Enforcement Team.
Essentially this will involve the reactive and pro-active enforcing of breaches of planning control including unauthorised developments, flat conversions, beds in sheds and unauthorised changes of use and any subsequent appeals.
The candidate will be responsible for producing enforcement notices and managing all the cases referred to us by the Private Rented Property Licensing Team and the public, investigating them and taking appropriate action in a timely manner.
The successful candidate will have worked in planning/planning enforcement within a Local Authority and will have an in-depth knowledge of the relevant legislation and planning rules.
Your knowledge and understanding of planning enforcement, coupled with proven experience working within this service area will be required.
