The Willis Re Placing & Billing Process Lead position is the focal point for our Placing & Billing process across the business unit.  The role, reporting to the Reinsurance Head of Process, will oversee our Placing & Billing performance, process and capability across our functional and territorial teams in Ipswich and globally as appropriate.  This role will represent Willis Re on internal Placing & Billing groups and form key external relationships.

The Role
  • To be the primary focus for the Placing & Billing functions within Willis Re
  • Responsible for establishing and embedding process, SOPs, templates and controls across operations within the Placing and Billing process
  • Partner with Change Project Teams to drive process standardisation and simplification
  • Stewardship of the Eclipse and Open Twins process and system for the Placing & Billing functions in Ipswich and Willis Re globally including co-ordination of testing new releases
  • Aid in the development, implementation and monitoring of workflow completion and best practice across the business unit
  • Review of Placing & Billing productivity and metrics performance.  Liaison with Client Service Team Managers to address where improvements required
  • To recognise skill deficiencies across the discipline and provide proposals for resolution
  • Awareness of external/market proposals and objectives. Interpret and provide guidance/procedural clarification of impact upon our processes
  • Identify and promote new and innovative ideas with regard to current working practices and systems
  • Ensure adherence to standardised Group policies and procedures, including all CEM and other regulatory requirements
  • Represent Willis Re at all internal inter-departmental Placing & Billing related process groups
  • To accept ownership for, manage and implement projects as directed by Willis Re Management Group, Willis Re Operations Executive and as a result of any other relevant operational improvement projects
  • Support the delivery of technical process training
The Requirements
  • Detailed knowledge of the Reinsurance Placing & Billing process
  • Experience of representation on Market or company Placing & Billing forums
  • Experience within operations and of project work and methodologies
  • Experience of achieving results through others
  • Good knowledge of the Eclipse broking application
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work in a team environment
  • Must be a self-starter with the ability to work with limited supervision
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner; gathers and analyses information skilfully; develops alternative solutions
  • High attention to detail and concern for quality
  • An enthusiastic and confident team player
  • Excellent communication skills both oral and written
  • Able to communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders; from operational teams to senior management
  • Computer literate with a good working knowledge of Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Able to meet deadlines without sacrificing accuracy and attention to detail
