Pipeline Labourer

To work as part of 3 man team undertaking Safe excavations to existing pipeline networks for various clients, Shotblasting/cleaning of pipelines to enable inspections to be carried out to install composite repairs or recoating of oil pipelines, pipeline/pipe installation & associated Civil works with the pipeline works including protection slabs throughout England & Wales.

Remote working, staying overnight near site location for the duration of the job normally each job lasting 5 to 10 days.

Monday to Friday working. Weekends only If required as arranged with clients for specific works.

Guaranteed to be home by 6 pm Friday.

Essential

  • Experience in working with Gas / Oil or Water piping both above and below ground.
  • Excavation experience up to and above 1.2m
  • Knowledge of working within confined spaces
  • CSCS
  • Experience of working with Sheeting/ Trench Boxes
  • Driving Licence 

Desirable

  • confined space
  • Slinger/ Banksman
  •  EUSR

Training & Equipment

Core man training given including, manual handling, abrasive wheel, CAT training and EUSR passport if required.

1 day confined space working to be given.

Full training on Composite Repairs to be undertaken by the team when employment starts.

All equipment & Van supplied.

The team will potentially be split (2 & 1) during training and bedding in period.

BENEFITS, EXPENSES & OTHER

For nights that lodgings are taken then there is a tax-free allowance given of £56 per night this is to cover lodge/food expenses. If for any reason the area is too expensive the company will pay for the lodge and give a £12.50 per night lodged in its place (this is taxable)

Vehicle to be supplied to the foreman (main van) and the Skilled in his team will have a welfare van or will be driven by others depending on the location of home address.
