The perfect candidate for this Physics teaching assistant will have a real passion to work in education and become a physics teacher in the future. You must demonstrate an excellent subject knowledge and the ability to support Physics GCSE students from a range of backgrounds and different academic abilities.
You will ideally have graduated from a Russell Group university with a 2:1 or higher in a Physics degree and have a strong academic background with good A-levels in maths and Physics in particular. Previous experience working with children or pupils is desirable however not essential and previous tutoring or mentoring is favourable.
As a Physics teaching assistant you will be joining the schools forward-thinking Science department. Your role will involve using your expert subject knowledge to support the teaching of Physics for GCSE and A-level students. You must week with teachers closely in the planning, preparation and delivery of lessons.
You will be assigned a mentor who is an experience member of the Science department and they will provide you with amazing induction and training programmes during your first few months at the school.
