GSL Education are currently seeking to appoint an outstanding Physics Teacher to join a friendly and dynamic Ofsted rated 'Good' school. This is a Physics teaching position starting ASAP which has the potential to turn permanent for the right candidate.
The role is at a high achieving, over-subscribed and successful mixed comprehensive school for pupils aged 11 to 18 located in the London borough of Barking & Dagenham. The school has a committed team of staff who work in close partnership with families and the wider community to achieve the best for its pupils. The school promotes a positive and supportive learning environment that has a strong focus on self-discipline.
The school seeks to appoint a talented and dynamic Physics teacher to work within the hugely supportive and successful Science Department. Students in this school follow the AQA syllabus at GCSE and at A-level. The Science department achieves outstanding results at Key Stage 3, GCSE and A-level and all classes are taught in mixed ability groups from Year 7 onwards.
As such, the school is looking for someone who can plan and teach Physics up to A-Level.

The successful candidate will:
- Be a qualified Physics teacher (ideally with PGCE, GTP, B'ed, Cert Ed, BA with QTS).
- Demonstrate recent experience as Physics teacher (this could include PGCE placement schools)
- Have up to date curriculum knowledge - especially within Key Stage 3 and 4.
- Be proven to raise and maintain attainment levels, keeping standards high.
- Be an enthusiastic, highly motivated individual who leads by example.
- Demonstrate good communication and interpersonal skills with excellent behaviour management strategies.
