We are currently seeking an experienced PHP Developer to join our team based in Wakefield. You will join a strong development team to create innovative solutions within a friendly working environment. As an innovative PHP Developer with excellent PHP7 & MySQL skills you will continue our success even further and work on exciting in-house projects.

  • Excellent PHP7, MySQL, PHP Frameworks and OO methodologies
  • Ability to provide accurate development estimates
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate at all levels
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Able to adapt quickly to changing deadlines and priorities
  • Able to work under pressure and use initiative
  • Ability to take instruction and implement tasks effectively

Role overview:

To create innovative solutions for a variety of projects to continue the success of Penny Appeal.

Responsibilities

  1. Building and maintaining custom built, cutting edge applications.
  2. Writing clean code that is clear and understandable by others.
  3. Contributing to project specifications and estimations.
  4. Work with stakeholders and the IT team to understand the initial scope for a new project.
  5. Testing the product in controlled, real situations before going live.
  6. Preparation of training material for users.
  7. Maintaining new and existing systems
