Set up by an experienced team of industry veterans, entrepreneurs & scientists they are looking to build their initial development team to be based in London and to have a real impact on the foundations of the company, the brand and the technology.
The Photonics Scientist will bring Photonics knowledge and expertise to the development and implementation of their core technologies and integrate this with the specialities of the rest of the team to attain target performance for new instrumentation.
They will take initiatives in the planning of research, conduct data analysis, identify, capture & record IP and develop contacts and research collaborations with the wider community to promote the reputation of the company.
With a PhD in Chemistry, Physics, Engineering or equivalent they will have experience of optical and photonic instrument design and construction and undertaking proof-of-concept studies. Any experience of producing biological & biomedically relevant data, noise analysis, array & wide field optical detectors and optical waveguides is desirable, as is experience of wide range visible light sources, fluorescence spectroscopy & light collection, image analysis protocols & development, clinical trials and industrial design for manufacturability.
