Our pharmacy client has an opportunity for a self-motivated, proactive sales person to join their sales team as a Pharmacy Development Manager, to cover the North East of England.
In this sales based role you will work with members to help them drive their profitability through a broad range of commercials schemes; whilst also helping them deliver great patient care to their local communities, through a very comprehensive range of pharmacy services. They are seeking a results driven individual with strong commercial acumen and a passion for community pharmacy. The role provides an ideal opportunity to develop your career within the pharmacy sector.
Covering the important North East area, this varied role primarily involves supporting their member pharmacies and associated stakeholders to develop their pharmacy businesses by utilising the tools available, creating patient loyalty and enhancing the customer experience. Another aspect to the role is identifying, prospecting and attracting new members.
A key element to this success will be through understanding the pharmacy environment, their members’ priorities and the effective communication of their products and services.
It is essential you have previous experience in the pharmaceutical industry as this role involves communicating with all levels within the pharmacy environment, (pharmacists to counter assistants) as well as internal stakeholders. As such the Pharmacy Sales Development Manager must be a confident communicator, both verbally and written, and possess excellent organisational and planning skills. You will also have strong presentation skills, be able to influence effectively and have a good understanding of the pharmacy sector. The successful candidate must also be able to demonstrate an ability to adapt to the ever changing pharmacy environment.
You must be flexible in your approach as this role will require you to travel throughout the North East area and will require the occasional overnight stay for Regional and National meetings. A full driving licence is essential.
The successful candidate will ideally be based in or near Newcastle.
