This is an exciting time to join the pharmacy team at Queen Elizabeth University and the Royal Hospital for Children Hospitals as we continue to develop new ways to provide our clinical pharmacy services in line with Achieving Excellence in Pharmaceutical Care – A Strategy for Scotland. The pharmacy department in the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital is a state of the art purpose built facility that makes use of modern technologies including robotics. If you are looking for a challenging role in which to develop your knowledge and skills then these posts will provide an excellent opportunity, whilst providing you with the support, training and encouragement you need. Posts available are 4 full time permanent at 37.5 hours, and 1 fixed term (9 months) at 30 hours. [Please note on your application statement which post you are applying for] You will participate in the Band 6 rotation, which includes aseptic services. You will provide patient focused clinical services to a varied group of patients and be an active member of the multidisciplinary team, advising and promoting the safe effective use of medicines and supporting technician led medicines management initiatives. You will gain experience in a variety of specialties including paediatrics. You should have a Masters degree in Pharmacy, successful completion of pre-registration experience and exam and be a member of the General Pharmaceutical Council. Continuous professional development is encouraged and supported. Flexibility and good communication skills are essential as well as an ability to work as part of a team. You will work 5/7, be required to participate in weekend working and our extended hours service, work public holidays and participate in our on call rota.
