About The Role: The Personal Tax Semi-Senior will assist the Senior team in managing a portfolio of Tax Returns from subcontractors and SME’s to investors and Directors. This is a client facing role and will suit a candidate able to work on their own initiative reviewing information received, requesting missing data and processing Returns with minimal supervision. The Right candidate will mentor and train junior members for the team. We are looking to find a new team member who can work through a period of company growth. The role is ideally full-time but part-time hours and flexibility would be considered for the right candidate.
Requirements: Previous personal tax experience is essential, and you will need to be able to draft Tax Returns only seeking assistance when needed and for more complex cases. The ideal candidate will be able to highlight tax saving opportunities for clients and will be liaising with HMRC on behalf of clients whilst working to strict deadlines. You will be varied in your practical and technical tax knowledge, preferably ATT qualified or studying towards qualification with a desire to complete the CTA qualification. You should be able to demonstrate a basic knowledge of accounts, possess strong organisational skills and have the ability to work well under pressure. You will certainly exhibit excellent communication and presentation skills and be capable of building positive working relationships with clients and colleagues at all levels.
