Join a a premier Personal Tax team in Belfast who experiencing a high level of success.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a fast-growing team with proven progression potential. The opportunity is a mixed private client role of management of self-assessment tax compliance for a varied range of clients, together with the opportunity to deliver a range of private client advisory projects and services.
The right individual will be technically competent with previous practical experience in reviewing complex self-assessment tax returns. They will also have experience in delivery of private client tax advisory engagements.
The manager will also play a role co-managing & coaching less experienced members of the team supporting them through assignments and helping them develop their careers.
You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient and successful delivery of tax services to the firms clients which will include:
- Annual tax return compliance management, review and sign-off, and related services
- Mentoring and technical support of more junior colleagues
- Delivery and effective management of advisory projects, and assistance to the senior team on more technical project work.
What you'll need to succeed
You will have relevant/appropriate tax experience and a proven track record of the efficient technical review of a mixed portfolio of private client's tax compliance and related services. You will also provide technical guidance and mentor junior staff.
You will also have the ability to build and maintain Tax relationships with clients and colleagues, identify opportunities and manage expectations. You will have experience of review and application of the Statutory Residence Test, and knowledge of trusts would be an advantage. You will also be client focused and commercially aware. You will be outgoing and comfortable with networking, presenting and exploring business development opportunities.
- CTA preferred; or
- ATT/ACA/CA/ACCA with relevant tax experience
