We are currently looking to recruit a permanent Personal Assistant, who has previously worked in a global pharmaceutical organisation, to join the Cardiovascular and Metabolism Therapy Area supporting the VP & GML Injectables Diabetes and GML Oral Diabetes, and their teams, based at our Central Cambridge offices.
We are looking for an enthusiastic experienced individual, who shows initiative, and who is willing to learn and develop, with excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to join this dynamic and effective global team. A team player, you will work closely and collaboratively with the other CVMD PAs and Administrator’s, providing cover as appropriate during annual leave periods.
This is an exciting opportunity for you to take on a challenging, proactive and varied role within our team. You will report into the VP & GML Injectables Diabetes, and your focus will be on providing a high quality and professional administration support to senior managers across the department.
This role will include:
- Extensive diary management
- Coordinating internal and external meetings
- Arranging virtual meetings
- Global conference calls / videoconferences
- Managing complex travel including visa arrangements, as well as organising and preparing material for key meetings and communications.
You will be required to attend key team and project meetings; supporting preparation of meeting agendas and other relevant documentation, and taking minutes and tracking actions. You will work closely with the Brand Managers on their budgets, running monthly reports and tracking T&E, and you should also enjoy processing expenses and purchase orders, along with more basic administrative tasks.
You will become an expert user across key business systems and tools such as, Box, Sharepoint etc. and provide a professional point of contact for the department, and wider CVMD TA.
You will possess excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills, good business awareness with sensitivity to confidential information, a can-do attitude balanced with a good sense of humor.
Being a confident individual, you will enjoy working with stakeholders across all levels of our organisation, across different time zones and with people from many cultures, building networks and supporting colleagues. You will have strong influencing skills with the ability to engage relevant people in developing solutions, always looking for efficiencies and improvements. Often working independently, you must be able to respond to changes in customer and stakeholder demands with the flexibility to adapt to changing situations.
