We are currently looking for an experienced Performance Engineer to support our Technical Performance Management Team based at our offices in Swindon.
Main Purpose of the Job:
This role will give the successful candidate the opportunity to gain knowledge and experience within a company operating approximately 2GW of onshore wind. This role presents a wide range of opportunities presented by the differing technologies and age of the assets. The team has significant scope for implementing improvements resulting in the ability to influence asset improvements on a regular basis.
This role is not restricted to UK assets, but encompasses all innogy onshore wind assets, increasing the diversity of the work and introducing additional challenges and interest to the work.
Key responsibilities include monitoring the performance of the wind onshore portfolio as part of a team and working closely with Operations to address identified issues and implement improvements. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to support key milestones in a wind farms life as well as contractual negotiations developing a wider knowledge of the wind farm life. This role allows the successful candidate to utilise problem solving skills and good communication skills to truly influence the performance and revenue of our fleet.
The relative age of this industry will allow the successful applicant to steer the future development of analysis systems through idea generation and implementation of analysis code and processes.

Knowledge & Skills required:
University degree in scientific, physics, engineering and/or mathematical studies
Strong technical analytical skills
Knowledge of wind farm operations and wind farm SCADA systems (desirable)
Good written and oral communication skills
Good ability to self-manage a multitude of tasks and work independently, when required
Good team working skills
Ability to maintain high levels of drive and energy
