We’re looking for a People Director who’s ready for a role with influence, visibility and genuine impact. This isn’t a traditional HR post — you’ll work closely with founders and senior leaders, shaping how the company operates and driving their people strategy end-to-end.

You’ll lead a talented People team across Recruitment, ER, L&D, EDI, Reward & Payroll, acting as the hands-on, trusted advisor the Directors and Heads rely on. Sitting on the Leadership Team, you’ll help steer the company’s direction while nurturing the culture that makes them who they are.

What You’ll Be Doing

Strategic & Cultural Leadership

  • Develop and deliver a People strategy that supports growth and puts values first.
  • Lead workforce planning, organisational design and culture initiatives.
  • Advise and support senior leaders, acting as trusted partner to the COO and Founder/MD.
  • Champion Diversity, Equity & Inclusion across all people practices.

People Operations

  • Lead the resolution of complex ER issues and represent the business at Employment Tribunals if needed.
  • Ensure policies, processes and practices remain compliant and effective.
  • Drive performance frameworks, progression pathways and engagement initiatives.
  • Oversee reward, pay equity, benefits and salary benchmarking.
  • Manage HR suppliers, legal partners and system providers, including HRIS oversight.

Commercial Accountability

  • Set People KPIs and ensure delivery within agreed budgets.
  • Partner with Finance and Talent teams on resourcing decisions and cost control.
  • Manage the People budget and identify opportunities to improve processes and efficiency.

Team Leadership

  • Lead, develop and motivate the People team to deliver their best work.
  • Create a collaborative, high-performance culture with clear goals and strong communication.

What You’ll Bring

  • Proven experience as a People/HR Director in a medium or large multi-site organisation.
  • Authentic leadership style that builds trust quickly.
  • Strong knowledge of employment law and compliance.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to execute effectively.
  • Commercially astute, with excellent communication and influencing skills.
  • Conflict resolution and problem-solving expertise.
  • HRIS and people analytics experience.
  • CIPD Chartered (preferred).

If you’re ready to make a real difference and help shape the future of this organisation, we’d love to hear from you.

We regret that due to volume only successful applicants will be contacted.
