Pensions Helpdesk Consultant

Our client, a top investment services firm in Central Bristol, is seeking a Pensions Helpdesk Consultant to join their team.

The ideal candidate will be client focused and self-motivated. The role offers an excellent training programme and the option to study for external qualifications. The team that you will be joining services both individual and corporate SIPP clients, as well as providing a retirement service.


  • Ensure the best possible outcome for clients at all times

  • Answer inbound calls

  • Translate complex topics effectively and simply

  • Reply to client letters and emails

  • Maintain a professional and friendly approach

  • Liaise with third parties on clients behalf

  • Ensure clients are treated fairly, in accordance with regulatory guidelines

  • Refer any instances of client dissatisfaction or suspicion of money-laundering appropriately

  • Maintain and enhance our reputation for excellence within the industry

  • Proactively look for ways to improve the quality and profitability of the products and services we offer our clients

Skills and experience:

  • 2 A Levels at grade C or above (or equivalent), in GCSE Maths and English

  • Basic computer literacy

  • Any relevant experience (e.g. working in an office/call centre, customer service role etc.)

  • Excellent verbal communication skills

  • Ability to perform under pressure

  • Ability to work within FCA regulations

  • Hardworking

  • Client satisfaction orientated

Desirable requirements:

  • Degree level 2:2 or above in any discipline

  • Any business/financial services related qualification

  • Experience of financial services

  • Problem solving skills

  • Analytical skills
