£11.75-£14.55 per hour
The role will be providing technical and practical problem solving support and services that are focused on using specialist skills. It is also to maintain knowledge and perform the calculation or checking of all aspects of Pension work for the local authority in question, in line with the relevant legislation and procedures.
*To ensure you maintain accurate records.
*Deliver core service activities under the close supervision of a more senior member of staff.
*Manage the resolution of complex customer complaints/issues within area of expertise, escalating where appropriate.
* Create and populate basic databases to hold and manage information and service information to support senior officers in managing the service.
*Procure goods and services within financial limits using the Council's purchasing systems and rules.
*Providing pension administration services to the Local Government Pension Scheme, including all employees within the authorities, Scheduled and Admitted bodies and any other relevant partners.
*Knowledge of the Regulations governing the Local Government Pension Scheme
*Able to use appropriate information technology system
*Able to calculate Local Government pension calculations
