PENSIONS ADMINISTRATOR

Large well know Blue Chip compnay are looking for a strong sold Administraor who they can train up in to a career in Pensions Admin.

Working within the Member Services department, you will be providing a wide variety of administration services to all BAPSL schemes (predominantly closed schemes) including:
Dealing with member queries by either telephone, email, face-to-face or in writing in an efficient and timely manner
Performing Member Services telephone shifts talking about a broad range of benefit matters (frequency of shifts varies from week to week and is determined by workloads and call volumes)
 Processing administration tasks including deaths and retirements
Performing routine pension calculations and complex manual calculations where required
Maintaining membership records including the data cleanse of the information held on the pension administration database
Processing pensioner payrolls, including payments and calculation of net pay
Assisting in projects as and when required
Reading, researching and understanding documentation relating to each scheme, for example, rule books and deeds
Project based work and ad-hoc duties as agreed from time to time
Supporting effective team working, contributing to team performance targets and team meetings and making suggestions for internal process improvements and efficiencies.
Being responsible for individual performance targets and individual quality
Undergoing training where required
Taking responsibility for individual tasks and taking action within the required timescales
Escalating any problems, mistakes, backlogs or issues immediately to the team leader 
Reporting any breaches or complaints immediately to the team leader
Understanding and respecting internal BAPSL policies

Potential reputational impact will be significant if the pension administration processes are not compliant with legislation or established regulatory codes and governance standards.

Demonstrate a can-do attitude and remain professional at all times
Possess strong communication skills both written and verbal
Have the ability to confidently use MS Word and Excel
Have attained Maths and English GCSE Grade B or above
Be an excellent team player with the ability to share information and work well with others 
Possess good attention to detail and accuracy
Have the ability to meet targets and deadlines
Be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities and work volumes 
Possess a good understanding of Pension's industry regulations and current legislation
Be prepared to undertake professional exams to further career progression
