Job Title: Pensions Transfer Specialist / Junior Paraplanner

Location: Clifton, Bristol


Hours: Full-time

Salary: Competitive subject to experience plus generous bonus structure


Working predominantly as a Pensions Transfer Specialist within the friendly Back Office team at John Morrison Wealth Management; a very successful Senior Partner Practice within St. James’s Place Partnership.

A fantastic opportunity exists for a self-motivated, outgoing and experienced individual to join this established, dynamic and fast-growing practice which is based in Clifton Village in Bristol.

St. James’s Place Wealth Management Plc (SJP) is a leading and highly regarded FTSE 100 UK Wealth Management company which distributes a range of Investment and Retirement products and financial solutions to a High Net Worth client base.

The Role:

You will be working as part of a happy and busy team for a group of Wealth Management Advisers. Your role will include producing suitability letters, liaising with the Advisers, gathering and providing product, platform and fund research, checking fact finds, preparing illustrations, managing cases to completion and working with internal processing systems.

In addition, you will manage client queries, keep client files updated, update fact finds, co-ordinate technical documents and research for client presentations and updating clients.

You will be given full training on all relevant IT systems as well as career development and ongoing training and qualification assistance.

The Person:

This is an interesting and challenging role that would suit a naturally driven, confident, highly organised, self-motivated and outgoing individual. The successful candidate will be a natural problem solver with the highest work, communication and service standards and have fanatical attention to detail. You will enjoy engaging with clients and providing a seamless administrative function.

Ideally, you will have been working within an IFA or a Wealth Management environment and have Financial Services industry experience as well as experience of the administration of IHT and Pensions. The perfect candidate will be well on the way to obtaining their Level 4 Diploma and will have passed RO1, RO4 (and possibly also RO2) and have good levels of technical pensions and investment knowledge.

This role would suit a candidate who is looking for the next step to develop theircareer within financial services.
