Pension Transfer Specialist

Posted 26 January by RAYMOND JAMES INVESTMENT SERVICES Ended

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a busy wealth management firm as we expand our Leicestershire and Rutland operation.

Though the name may be new to you, Raymond James is a fast-growing wealth management business, supporting 102 commercially independent practices located throughout the UK, representing a mix of well-regarded private client investment managers, stockbrokers and investment focused financial planners. Commencing operation in 2001, Raymond James now has over 31,000 accounts representing total client assets of £8.73 billion (as of 31st December 2017).

Our proposition is straightforward and appealing - providing the intimacy of a small local practice backed by the resources and strength of a large financial services organisation. We understand the financial needs of successful people and have a deep knowledge of investment principles, tax rules and wealth structuring.

Who we are looking for

Our distinctive service includes wealth management, stock broking and financial planning advice provided by our own dedicated team of experts and we are now looking for an experienced Pension Transfer Specialist to join us.

Due to a significant increase in retirement related cases, we are looking to develop our proposition and add further expertise. This role will provide quality pension transfer advice to our advisers who have clients with defined benefit or defined contribution arrangements.

You will be responsible for:

  • Collating information regarding the client and their existing defined benefit and defined contribution pension scheme(s)

  • Preparing pension analysis

  • Preparing client reports with transfer recommendations

  • Ensuring advice is technically correct, meets company and FCA expectations and takes account of all factors

  • Providing support and advice to advisers

  • Reviewing and enhancing processes to ensure they remain efficient and comply with all regulation

  • Maintaining personal knowledge levels as well as disseminating relevant information to the adviser population

You will be supported by, and supervise the work of, a small team who will complete the routine administration and liaison with third parties.

We expect you will have had experience working in a similar advisory environment making use of your qualification (G60/AF3/AF7) in a transfer role. Importantly, this is a key appointment within the team and there is scope for the role to grow as the business develops.

You’ll need to be tenacious and have high levels of resilience to be effective in taking your part in building the business...but, you’ll appreciate the benefits of working in a satisfying environment with a young and dynamic team, be involved in interesting investment planning and indeed be well rewarded.

What we offer

  • A highly competitive basic salary, depending on experience
  • Participation in the annual bonus scheme
  • 20 days holiday (plus Bank Holidays)
  • Pension scheme
  • Life cover
  • Plus all the support and training that you will need to develop your skills

If you are interested in joining us and developing your career with a local investment expert that has the backing of a global organisation, then please submit your CV.

Sorry, we are unable to deal with recruitment agencies. Any unsolicited submissions from agencies will be accepted as a direct application from the candidate and no fees will be payable.
