As a result of continued growth we have a number of opportunities to join our Pension Administration team in Cheltenham.

Pensions Administrators are responsible for the day-to-day administration of pension schemes. They make sure that customers' pensions are accurately maintained and serviced.

Don’t have experience? You don’t necessarily need it! We have two opportunities, one where we will offer you the opportunity to train, and one where you will already demonstrate some relevant experience.

For the trainee role…..You’ll ideally have some pension admin experience, however, if you have some experience in financial services, or, wider office based experience, we can certainly consider your CV! We are looking for enthusiastic people-focused candidates who are comfortable working in a busy environment and are confident and who have at least GCSE (or equivalent) Grade C in both Maths and English.

For the experienced role…. You will also be enthusiastic and people-focused and comfortable working in a busy environment, as well having at least GCSE (or equivalent) Grade C in both Maths and English. In addition, you will demonstrate a reasonable level of experience of administering pension schemes, specifically within final salary / defined benefit (DB).

    The Pension Administration Business was established in 1993. Our core business is the provision of services to trustees of UK occupational pension schemes DB, DC, CARE, cash balance - and we will do this as a stand-alone "admin-only" appointment or in conjunction with services provided by other Barnett Waddingham Practice Areas. The services are provided from all of our UK offices and include:

  • Benefit administration

  • Pensioner payroll

  • Administration consulting services

  • Scheme governance and trustee secretarial

  • Bespoke one off projects

  • Cash handling and preparing draft accounts

  • PPF assessment administration services

  • Data audits and data cleansing

  • Specialist roles (secondments, expert witness)

  • Support for trustees and in-house personnel
