PE Teacher required in Islington!

The Role:

We are currently partnered with a Mixed Secondary School based in Islington, North London who are actively seeking an enthusiastic PE Teacher for an initial 1 month period of cover.

The school have embarked on a pursuit of excellence and are committed to the lives of young people within their community. They have achieved a "Good" rating from Ofsted and are keen to build on this in the coming years.

This role would ideally suit a committed PE Teacher based in North London and within a commutable distance to the Islington area who is actively seeking a short to mid-term Temporary / Cover position.

The successful candidate will have/be:

  • A passion for sports and physical education, with previous experience as a PE Teacher.
  • An excellent communicator, able to promote physical fitness, healthy lifestyles and foster a teamwork mind-set within the students.
  • Ability to create and ensure a safe and inclusive environment for all students carrying out physical activities.
  • Take ownership over the management and maintenance of the School's PE equipment and resources effectively.

This role will require:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Proven experience teaching PE to secondary school students in the UK
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the UK curriculum
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
