PE Teacher

Posted 27 February by Teaching Personnel Ltd Easy Apply

My client school is looking for a qualified secondary teacher of PE to cover for a maternity, starting after Easter 2018 until the end of the academic year on a full-time basis. The candidate will be required to deliver lessons up to GCSE, and to take part in after school fixtures. The ideal candidate will have the following:

- qualified secondary school teacher (QTS)

- relevant PE qualification

- relevant secondary teaching qualification

- experience in working in secondary schools in the UK

- right to work in the UK

- full time availability

My client school has a proud history, having served the young people of York for over a century. They proudly strive to provide a 21st century education for their young people, and they have been graded "outstanding" in their most recent Ofsted inspection. The school has a reputation for academic excellence.

Whether you are a newly qualified teacher, or an experienced practitioner, this is an excellent opportunity to work in an "oustanding" school as a secondary PE teacher - where you can earn up to £160 per working day, depending on experience. It is also a great opportunity to be introduced to the other schools in the trust for future work past the initial maternity cover.

Please do not hesitate to apply or call the branch for further information.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

Teaching Personnel is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. All candidates must undertake or have undertaken a valid enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. Full assistance provided.
