Payroll Officer required for an exciting permanent opportunity based on the outskirts of Birmingham City Centre, near Aston. You will be responsible for the end to end processing of the monthly payroll, accurately and on time using payroll software. You will also be responsible for checking, calculating and processing salary adjustments or payments to include but not limited to; starters, leavers, student payments, SSP, SMP, honorariums, attachments of earnings and season tickets.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced Payroll Officer who can administer and co-ordinate general payroll and pensions activities. You will be able to demonstrate experience of effectively working with electronic and computerised HR/payroll systems across a multi-site organisation and have a track record of working efficiently and effectively with an outsourced payroll provider.
You must have a good understanding of HMRC rules and regulations in relation to pay, wages and pensions.
