Payroll Officer

Experienced payroll officer for a long term temp job in Melton Mowbray to start asap.

A stable and well established organisation require an experienced payroll office to run their weekly payroll on a temporary basis to cover maternity leave. This payroll administrator position is offered on a full time basis (40 hours per week) and is due to start in January 2018.

The ideal candidate will have:
Significant payroll processing experience for a high number of employees across various shift patterns and shift systems
Proven experience implementing a new payroll system (project management/implementation)
Ability to drive through change and improvements in processes whilst maintaining legislative and compliance requirements
Excellent organisational skills and the ability to communicate with people at all levels of the business

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities include:

Updating and maintaining the T&A system to feed in to the payroll system
Payroll processing including BACS submissions, pension returns, RTI
Updating and maintaining new starters, leavers, contract changes and others adjustments on both the payroll system and T&A system
Completing tax year ends, P60, P45, P46, deliver to RTI compliance and liaising with HMRC
Administering the Auto-Enrolment process on 2 company pension schemes
