Payroll Officer - Part Time - Work From Home

Main Purpose of this position:

Proactively assist the HR department in providing a comprehensive, efficient, proactive, professional and customer focused payroll support service to management and employees.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare payroll processing items for the monthly payroll deadlines
  • Run the monthly payroll and produce the necessary output documents
  • Ensure the HR team prepare payroll processing items for the monthly payroll deadlines
  • Ensure that when required the HR team run the monthly payroll and produce the necessary output documents
  • Ensure new employee and leaver details are input and 100% accurate on the system
  • Ensure employee pay and benefit system records are accurate
  • Manage employee benefits schemes
  • Manage employee pension schemes
  • Ensure any leavers outstanding moneys are retrieved
  • Support in the implementation of new benefits
  • Support the mapping of employees benefits and salaries
  • Support the TUPE transfers of employees from a pay and benefits side
  • Produce all the relevant reports to the authorities
  • Produce gender pay gap reporting and other relevant reports
  • Conduct payroll year end successfully and on time
  • Support pay reviews
  • Support bonus schemes

Person Specification

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Skills the applicant would need to do the job

  • Good MS office skills, specially Excel
  • Use of HR systems - desirable is experience of Cascade HR & Payroll system
  • Administrative and organisational skills
  • High level of detail consciousness (accurate)
  • Able to effectively prioritise workload

EXPERIENCE

Experience the person would need to do the job

  • Experience of dealing with people in a sensitive manner
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience running a full payroll cycle

KNOWLEDGE

Any specific qualification or training requirements.

  • Use of HR systems - desirable is experience of Cascade HR & Payroll system
  • Knowledge of Payroll Legislation
  • Desirable CIPP member

Contract Type:

  • Temp to Perm
  • Part time 3 days a week but can be flexible.
  • Work from home
  • £25k - £30k Pro Rata
