Payroll Manager

Reed Accountancy and Finance are recruiting for one of our clients based at the west side of Edinburgh. Our client are a leading brand with a UK wide presence and are seen as highly respected employer within the market.

To be considered for this position candidates must have up to date and relevant experience working within a similar role. Candidates should have experience of-

• Check new employee payroll documentation to ensure all are complete, accurate and legally compliant prior to payroll processing

• Ensure all relevant payroll records are properly maintained in accordance with requirements and compliant with data protection legislation

• To ensure the provision of statutory and RTI returns to HMRC and other relevant bodies as required

• To co-ordinate the provision of P60s, P45s and P11D statements to employees as required and ensure P11D information is regularly updated

• To co-ordinate monthly pensions activity for two pension schemes: contribution
payments, auto enrolment files, opt outs; and provide reports for pensions uploads

• To co-ordinate salary sacrifice and benefits payments, ensuring records are complete and payroll processing accurate

• To co-ordinate annual leave entitlements, undertake calculations and process through payroll

• To answer payroll queries from line managers and employees

• Develop and maintain a set of documented payroll administration procedures

• Provide relevant, accurate and timeous information to all customers as required

• Prepare routine and complex information and/or reports to support business
requirements, including statistical and data reports

• Solve routine and complex system issues and deliver input into future systems development

• Review and develop payroll process improvements, ensuring they are communicated and applied across the business

Candidates with strong Excel skills are highly sought after. If you have experience of using pivot tables and v-lookups and general data manipulation we want to hear from you.
