At this exciting time the LET team are expanding the business to employ an additional 1000 doctors and dentists in training over the next two years. With the expansion of the business comes an expansion of the current LET team, this position is available as a result.
The Lead Employer Trust (LET) team is made up of an HR function, an inhouse Payroll function and a Finance function. With a team of 30 staff members you must have the ability to work cooperatively with colleagues across all functions within the LET with a determination to succeed as part of a team.
Within the North East and North Cumbria the LET is responsible for recruitment, employment and payroll of doctors and dentists in training within Health Education England North East (HEENE). All doctors and dentists in training are employees for the entirety of their training programme and rotate between the relevant host training providers within the North East and North Cumbria. Currently the LET employs approximately 2200 trainees across 10 NHS Foundation Trusts and over 200 GP Practices.
As a Payroll Administrator within the LET team you will be responsible for providing a comprehensive Payroll service to all doctors and dentists in training, ensuring consistency and adhering to the NHS National Terms and Conditions of service. You will be responsible for liaising and working closely with other payroll colleagues to ensure prioritising and accuracy of monthly payroll work. You will also work with and communicate effectively with colleagues in HR and finance to ensure accuracy. You will be the first point of contact for doctors and dentists in training who will contact you for advice and guidance in relation to a wide range of payroll, tax and benefits issues. You must have the confidence and ability to communicate effectively using telephone, face to face and written methods. - Minimum GCSE (or equivalent) Grade C or above in Mathematics and English Language or equivalent knowledge gained through work experience
