Reporting to the Payroll Manager, you will be involved in leading a small team of experienced Payrollers ensuring that all targets are met and staff are paid on time. Additionally you will be required to train any new members to the team and existing staff on updated processes and policies used, assisting with work overload and supporting members during sickness and holiday cover.
The Payroll team is responsible for processing a number of payrolls on a monthly basis of around 1000 staff
Acting as deputy to the Payroll Manager and assisting with target setting to achieve goals
Controlling all relevant supporting documentation in accordance with UK Border Agency guidelines
Escalating any associated payroll issues to manager
Processing of all statutory payments
Ensuring all HMRC submissions are completed accurately and on time
To be considered for this role you must be able to demonstrate strong current practical payroll experience
Possess experience of supervising payroll staff effectively including goal setting and appraisals
Be organised and able to work in a constantly changing environment
Have the ability to analyse data to ensure compliance and accuracy
Be able to stand in for payrolls in need of support
This is a demanding role and only CVs with current practical Payroll skills within a supervisory capacity will be considered. CVS demonstrating pure theoretical payroll skills gained through studies will be instantly rejected.
