Payroll Clerk - P/T

We are currently recruiting for a part time motivated and experienced Payroll Administrator to join our client's growing organisation. The successful candidate will be working 20 hours a week.


  • Administering all starter and leaver information and ensuring mid-month changes are processed and calculated correctly
  • Process SSP, SMP, SPP, SAP in accordance with legislation
  • Support production of monthly and annual HMRC returns including P60's and P11D's
  • Produce payslips, P45's and monthly reports and distribute accordingly
  • Administer all benefits and salary sacrifice schemes in relation to payroll
  • Produce pension payment submissions and deal with 3rd party pension queries
  • Process day to day payroll queries and escalating where necessary to the payroll manager where queries are more technical
  • Assist the Payroll Manager with payroll reconciliations in line with month end timelines
  • Ensure all third party payments are paid in accordance with regulatory and internal timescales


  • Solid experience within a payroll function
  • Strong communication and customer focus skills
  • Strong numerical and financial awareness
  • Excellent attention to detail with a disciplined approach to managing and meeting deadlines
  • Strong IT skills including Microsoft Excel
