Payroll Assistant, 12 month FTC, Midlothian

Hays is partnered with a reputable public body organisation in Midlothian in recruiting for a 'Payroll Systems Specialist' on a 12 month FTC. You will be joining and supporting a friendly payroll team throughout a busy period on a full time basis working 35 hours, Monday-Friday, 8.30-4.30.
Your new role
Working as a 'Payroll Systems Specialist' you will be supporting the Payroll Manager in the review and development of a newly implemented system. Main responsibilities will include ensuring the system is fully compliant and in align with the companies policies and procedures, creating, reviewing and completing test documentation, evaluate any issues with the system, provide support and advice to both internal and external stakeholders with regards to business change, produce statistical reports and collate financial information.
What you'll need to succeed
You will have previous experience working within a similar payroll function with regards to system implementation. If you are CIPP qualified or have similar qualifications this would be advantageous however not essential. You will be a strong communicator who is able to communicate confidently both internally and externally. You will be able to prioritise workload and ensure deadlines are met in a timely manner. You will be competent in all Microsoft packages and numerically strong.
