Job Title: Payroll/Bookkeeping Assistant (Part-Time)

Your new company are a leading Chartered Accountancy firm located in West Lothian, who have been operating successfully for many years and have seen a period of sustained growth. They are therefore looking for an additional Payroll Assistant to join the business on a part-time basis.
Your new role
Your new role will sit within the payroll bureau function and you will join the payroll manager in supporting the firm's wide and varied client base. You will manage a portfolio of aprox 60 clients and will process the payrolls in a timely and efficient manner. You will process auto-enrolment, RTI, statutory payments (SSP, SMP, SPP) and you will work with payrolls which have various different pay elements. You will be using the STAR payroll system and will help the firm move their clients onto an online system. There may also be the option to carry out some bookkeeping work for a variety of clients. This role is available on a part-time basis which will involve approx. 21 working hours to be taken over 3 days. The firm can be flexible on which days you work.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful you must have payroll experience gained within a chartered accountancy firm, payroll bureau or high volume payroll/bookkeeping background. You should have excellent attention to detail, be able to work autonomously and have experience of dealing with clients on a regular basis. Experience in using the STAR payroll software is desirable, as well as having previous bookkeeping experience.
