Here at Cooper Lomaz we are currently searching for an experienced Payroll Assistant to join our client based in Bury. The role is split between payroll start to finish and elements of bookkeeping. This is an excellent opportunity to join an expanding company that offers a stable working environment.
Reporting to the Payroll Manager the Payroll Assistant/Bookkeeper will be comfortable supporting clients through effect and accurate delivery of a Payroll service. You will be comfortable running multiple payrolls for clients with 1000+ staff, and must have knowledge of payroll processing.
The main tasks of the role include:
Complete the full group payroll process using Sage
Being able to produce accounts to trial balance
Preparing VAT returns for clients
Processing accurate and efficient client payroll assignments
Travel to client sites may be necessary within this position so it is essential you have a full, clean driving licence.
It is preferred but not essential to be AAT or part qualified for this role or possess relevant payroll qualifications.
