Client Details

The client is a small and welcoming charity based in Thame. They are looking to bring someone into their team to take on the Payroll Administrator position that has recently become available with this new person being responsible for day to day Payroll tasks.

Description

The key responsibilities of the successful Payroll Administrator will be:

  • Ability to make payments to staff via various payment methods
  • To be able work collaboratively within the team to ensure effective information sharing
  • Work accurately to a high standard in a time pressured environment
  • Responsible for the day-to-day operation of an agreed area within the Payroll team
  • Planning to meet departmental and organisational deadlines and being flexible in responding to the needs of the business
  • Provide a high level of customer service
  • Pro-actively communicate with internal and external bodies as required
  • To liaise with the software/service providers to assist in resolving issues and enhancing software
  • To resolve day-to-day payroll and finance queries
  • To document tasks and procedures as required
  • Provide back up and support across the team and department
  • To support the Group Payroll Manager with any tasks as required

Profile

Essential:

  • A desire to work within Payroll
  • Team player with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Good planning and organisational skills and ability to meet deadlines
  • Able to demonstrate initiative and flexibility
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Numerate and attention to detail

Desirable:

  • Demonstrated payroll experience and knowledge
  • Understanding of payroll legislation and processes i.e. tax, national insurance
  • Working towards a payroll and/or expenses qualification

Job Offer

On offer for the successful Payroll Administrator is a salary of circa £20,000 to £22,000 along with an attractive benefits package.
