Payroll Administrator and Bookkeeping


A newly created position in an Accountancy Bureau based on the Wirral, are looking for an easy going and energetic Payroll Administrator to join the team on a permanent part-time basis. The company have positive growth plans and are looking for their latest employee to join this journey with them. The ideal candidate will have career aspirations, someone who can bring new ideas to the table and someone who is happy to help out on the Bookkeeping. The team are sociable and role will be client facing so someone who is confident to talk to clients and business users at all levels is ideal.

Duties & Responsibilities:

* To manage a portfolio of client payrolls for weekly and monthly processing
* Delivering excellent customer service and relationship building with clients
* Maintaining company and client information and records onto the System
* Setting up new starters and processing leavers correctly
* Submitting RTI and ensuring auto- enrolment compliance is up to date
* Processing on relevant inland revenue forms such as P60, P45, P46
* Liaising with HMRC for Tax Code and National Insurance queries
* Processing SMP, SPP and SAP and ensuring correct legislative compliance
* Calculating holiday and sick pay
* Responding and resolving employee and client payroll queries
* Accurate completion of year-end journals and processes

Required skills:

* Previous Payroll experience within an Accountancy Practice or Payroll Bureau
* Up to date and relevant experience in Payroll
* Good technical abilities with Systems
