Payroll Administrator

My client is a leading broking business based near Tower Hill who is looking for a bright and enthusiastic Payroll Administrator to join the business on a perm basis. Reporting into the Payroll Manager, your main responsibilities will include but not limited to:

  • Working in a team of 2 responsible for the start to finish payroll for 650 employees

  • Data entry for new starters, leavers and transfers

  • Processing all employee changes

  • Producing all statutory calculations - Tax / NI / SMP / SSP

  • Pension scheme deductions and alterations

  • Benefit scheme changes

  • Timesheet & overtime entry

  • Processing payroll deductions

  • Producing reconciliation reports for payroll sign off

  • Resolving all pay queries and correction of errors

The ideal candidate for this role will have:

  • Hands-on experience of working in a busy, deadline oriented and commercial environment

  • Must have in-house payroll experience

  • Strong user of Microsoft Excel

  • Excellent interpersonal skills

  • Highly numerate

  • Excellent problem solving/judgment skills and high level of attention to detail and accuracy

  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to work under pressure
