Job Title:*Payroll Administrator - Full-Time permanent
Job code (grade):*Ungraded
Location:*1 Park Lane, Hemel Hempstead
Reports to:*Payroll & Benefits Manager

Job summary:*To carry out a wide variety of day to day payroll administration duties and process the company's weekly and four-weekly payrolls from start to finish.

Major duties & responsibilities:*Process the company's three payrolls from start to finish (weekly payroll - 950 employees), four-weekly payroll (320 employees), four-weekly payroll (24 employees).
To include:
*Import starters, leavers and amendments from the HR system and timesheet data from the Time & Attendance system into the Payroll system.
*Gather other payroll data from various sources (e.g. excel spreadsheets, internal forms and emails) and input into the Payroll system.
*Tax - Process Starter checklist forms and P45's.
*Process statutory payments - SSP, SMP and SPP.
*Process Court Orders.
*Calculate and apply holiday rates.
*Run reports using Microsoft Query.
*Pension Administration.
*Deal with payroll queries from our distribution centres and employees.

*Expenses - Administration and oversee the day to day running of our on-line expenses system (Concur).

Profile and Technical competencies:*Minimum 2 years' experience as a UK Payroll Administrator.
*CIPP payroll qualification or studying towards.
*Well organised, methodical and numerate.
*Attention to detail.
*Ability to work under pressure.
*Flexible
*High level of computer literacy - Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel intermediate level)
*Analytical with the ability to pick up new skills quickly, particularly systems/applications.
*Enthusiasm to learn and develop.
