Payroll Administrator (Maternity Cover)

My client, a prestigious and exciting company are a market leader in their field with operations on a global scale. They are seeking an experienced and dynamic Payroll Administrator to provide maternity cover at their Head Office in Plymouth.

Reporting into the Payroll Manager, your focus will be to ensure accurate and timely in house payroll processing for a large number of employees, in accordance with statutory and company regulations, legislations, policies and procedures awareness.

Main responsibilities:

Maintenance and checking of daily time and attendance system
Maintenance of employee records on the Payroll/HR system
Maintain wage records for a large number of employees
Carry out calculations of pay and deductions
Ensure correct and accurate processing of payroll data
Record absences / process sick pay
Check and produce payslips
Answer earnings enquiries
Process hourly paid starters and leavers
Completion of statutory and legal forms
Produce weekly and monthly reports for senior management
Deal with a number of external professional bodies in relation to payroll related issues

In order to be considered, you must have:

Experience handling high volume payroll processes
Proven significant experience in a similar role, ideally in a fast-paced environment
Excellent communication skills
Good analytical and organisational skills
Ability to work effectively under pressure
Ability to work with minimal supervision
